Position Summary:
This position will be testing voice and video technologies specifically for telepresence in Managed Services (training will be provided).
The primary job functions of the position are:
- Design, development, and testing of Cisco router Platforms and its interoperability with transport services, network protocols, and features on IPv6
- Test and certify Cisco Telepresence endpoints and infrastructure on Business Exchange network.
- Configure layer 2/3 on Cisco equipment for endpoint connectivity.
- Configure QoS on routers and switches for bandwidth testing.
- Upgrade software on endpoints, switches, routers, and servers.
- Provision endpoints on Hosted/Enterprise CUCM and VCS.
- Open support cases with vendors (e.g. Cisco TAC) to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Create Engineering and Troubleshooting documents for Tier-3 Operations group.
- Provide support to sales and technical teams for critical customer requirements and priority field issues.
- Deliver technical training, solution presentations and support to Technical Marketing, Sales and Customer support teams in US and worldwide for Managed Global IP Services with IPv6.
- Perform detailed test analysis to identify hardware and software issues and work with critical vendors for resolution and incorporation into the Managed Services product line.
Requirements: This is a junior position but candidates must have some experience with Cisco routers/switches, VOIP, SIP, or CallManager.
Prefer candidates with at least a CCNA.
