Job Description:

·        The Cloud Architect/Network Engineer will be a key individual responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of next-generation data center architectures on behalf of our telco and enterprise clients.

·        The position will also be responsible for performing knowledge transfers to customers and looking for additional opportunities to help improve and optimize their environment. Also engages with experts across all technology competencies: applications, data management, BSS/OSS Architecture, IT & business management.

·        Contributes to, or independently gathers and documents, requirements for the application or customer solution.

·        Working with a Solutions Architect, helps establishes a timeline for the design and development activities, and is able to track and report on progress. Provides manpower and time estimates for the design, development, and/or testing of an implementation.

·        May provide technical leadership on small scale systems or features, or a portion of a larger application

·        Actively seeks knowledge of new developments in the software and computer engineering fields

·        Thinks outside the box and is willing to research and explore new avenues to overcome obstacles by utilizing the latest technologies and standards.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Work within the SDN practice at DataVision with pre-sales and delivery team, technology partners, and clients to establish credibility and capability to develop large-scale cloud infrastructure.

·        Work closely with delivery team to build unique technical skills and best practices to optimize the use of our technology in modern Cloud environments

·        Discuss technical best practices, concepts, and technologies to present innovative computing solutions.

·        Work on complex and sensitive business problems and help implement state of the art data center solutions.

·        Support and conceive new service opportunities that exceed those currently offered by other providers.

·        Participate in developing the strategy and initiatives for the delivery team and assist with driving development and execution.

·        Assist the team in the prioritization and development of key activities, tools to use and technical implementation programs

·        Develop and nurture strong customer relationships. Ability to articulate technical issues in a concise manner

·        Team player who is comfortable working with nascent technologies and able to interact with the surrounding open source communities



Requirements:

Qualifications:

·        Knowledge or experience with cloud design and development

·        Experienced with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) concepts

·        Practical Experience with Compute, Storage and Network Virtualization products such as OpenStack (multiple distro’s), VMware NSX, RedHat, as well as a solid understanding of the different cloud services and frameworks.

·        Thorough understanding of Linux/UNIX operating systems

·        Experience with Public Cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure: EC2, S3, ELB, ASG, VPC or

·        Experience in developing Leaf/Spine and/or CLOS Architectures

·        Familiar with working with RESTful APIs, Netconf, RESTconf

·        Demonstrated success at simultaneously working with multiple customer and internal projects.

·        Experience with direct customer contact. Must be able to work in a complex environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.

·        Strong leadership qualities and work directly with customers and ensure customer satisfaction

·        Strong client-facing skills, assertiveness, strong communications skills, leadership, self-starter, etc.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Preferred Skills:

·        Some experience/familiarity working with structured modeling languages such as XML, JSON, YANG

·        Knowledge of related software development operations tools such as Python, Puppet and CHEF

·        Nice to have: Experience with any of Jenkins, Bamboo CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
